Le Mans

The time has come to gear up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In just a few days the cars will roll off the grid and embark upon the ultimate endurance event in motorsports. As you may have guessed, not only am I a motorsport fan, but I'm also a huge fan of racing sims. This year when we gather to watch the event, we'll also run an unscientific and informal competition of driving skill. The game will be GTR by Simbin, a sports car racing sim. Armed with a variety of cars, we each of us will attempt our fastests lap at the venerable Circuit de la Sarthe. I've taken the liberty of building very basic setups for each car, which I've compared below with the real world time that the car ran at Le Mans. As you can see, many of the models have laptimes that are very close to their real world counterparts.
